I have a small question. If we use the Portuguese language pack for Joomla, the content would be translated to Portuguese language in Home page or in the Joomla Admin dashboard.

What if I want to make my Joomla home page by default to appear in Portuguese language. Should I create all the content like pages, articles in Poruguese language or If I use the language pack will the content like pages, articles automatically convert into Portuguese language and display in the Joomla front end.

Joomla language packs ONLY translate the User Interface not the contents themselves.

By user interface, that would include all the links in the main menu and mine still show in English after installing the LP. I have the VM LP installed also and that does appear correctly. So, what am I missing here for Joomla's front end as all still show in English after making Portuguese the default language? I set the Admin to Portuguese and that appears correctly, so something in the frontend is not seeing the change. Using v.1.5.2?

DISREGARD - LINKS ARE NOT UI, SORRY. I see the translations on the contacts.
