First, you could download and install (just like any other extension) the Malayalam language pack ml-IN_joomla_lang_site_1.5.15v1.zip from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtrans ... ge_id=4990

Other extensions such as Indic Writer (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... tent/10943) and Chola Google Transliterate Plugin for Joomla (http://archive.extensions.joomla.org/ex ... ions/14894) would be useful in creating the content in Malayalam.

If you want to build a multilingual site then you could use the extensions such as Multilang M17n (http://archive.extensions.joomla.org/ex ... ntent/6348) and Joom!Fish (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ontent/460).

Note: The answers are based on the understanding (due to the fact that the post in the forum Language - Joomla! 1.5) that the site is developed and maintained using Joomla! 1.5.

What exactly are you typing?

For example, in Joomla! 1.5.26, I have created a menu item "യെ മെനു ഐറ്റം" and it saves file. As expected, the alias had a timestamp (i.e., 2013-08-03-08-48-34).

I could see and click on the menu item "യെ മെനു ഐറ്റം" in the front-end.
