is just the best. it symbolize something open, some unification.

If I pass the review, I will upload an uncompressed wav.  What other files should I submit?  I have the transcribed version of the trombone solo, an audacity project, some soundfonts, midis, a Finale '03 file, and some others.

I love it Max.  You have come so far in this project, I am just amazed.  I really enjoy the different progressions and your composition is excellent.    The fade at the end is very nicely done.  I can't think of a thing to add or change to it.  I really think you have done spectacular work on this.

My only hope is that someday we can hear a full orchestra playing "All Together, as a Whole".

I just updated the score to have the same font throughout, as well as actually putting the part in 3/4 in 3/4.

I noticed there was a mistake.  When I released RC2, I gave the links to rc1.  Therefore, I looked at my previous post and thought I should be on RC2, when really I should be on rc3.  In conclusion, there weren't any changes in what was previously RC2, and I called this RC2 by mistake.

I really like how you changed the first part. When you are ready for uploading the final, the wav file and the score should be sufficient, but, if you were willing to add the ogg and/or mp3, that would be very helpful.

You are tremendous in many ways. I am happy to have your involvement in GHOP and still so very pleased you chose this task.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity!  I love music and free software, so this is the perfect project for me!!!  I couldn't upload my things to Google (a 70mb wav must be too big...).  Instead, I have a score, a wav, a flac, 2 oggs, and an mp3 on http://BernsteinForPresident.com/ataaw/.  If this is a problem, please let me know.

There are some symbols in "All Together, as a Whole" that I didn't point out before. I won't tell, though!!  Hint: I love West Side Story!!! 

If you know of any other FOSS projects that need a song written, I would love to write for an open source project once GHOP is over.  (Unless I just choose "Create art that captures the spirit of Joomla!" and write another song!!!!!  )

You are undeniably FABULOUS - what a great help you have been. Your piece is wonderful, amazing, I love it! It will be so fun to start pulling it into presentation material and sharing it at conferences. The way you engaged others in this process and involved us in this journey was "role model" behavior - we can learn from your approaches. You are an excellent example of how to be a community builder.

I closed the Google task and we will contact Google to get the space required for at least the ogg file. I'll let you know more as we find out. For now, move on and conquer something else.

Eventually, when we add more code tasks, I would love to see you explore that, as well. Don't worry if it's new - there is a community here to help you, as well. Engaging in a "stretch" activity will not hurt you at all and I am fairly certain there is untapped potential there. Anyway, something to consider.

For one of my projects this summer, I would like to port The Hablator (http://BernsteinForPresident.com/hablator.php) or SpeedyWiki (http://speedywiki.sourceforge.net) to Joomla!.  I am a little slow when it comes to programming (not to mention that I have never written a Joomal! extension), so I don't know if I could finish any of the tasks there in 4 school weeks. That's why I practice!!!   

I claimed the "Create a one to two page document that a webmaster could give to a new Joomla! user who is a publisher.".
I hope to start working on it immediately.

Another exciting little tidbit: I am tutoring a fourth grader after school some days.  He is into technology, so in exchange for reading , I show him how to do computer things.  The last project was working on Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu).  When we finished that, he decided he wanted to make a web site.  "Okay," I said, "What do you want on the site?"  Some of the first responses were "password protection", "letting some people see some things and other people see other things", and "calendars".  "Hmmm..." I think, "This is the perfect chance to use Joomla! Karibu!"  We meet next in a couple weeks.

Thank you!  I have been trying to find out where to go to write music for FOSS games.  Finding this FOSS compositional opportunity was great, but also rare.  I don't think I will see another chance like this.  If anyone knows of any games that need music, would you please let me know?  That way, I can work on a FOSS project even after GHOP is over.

Hi, i noticed u said u'r computer is to slow to use fluidsyth, i have tryed both fluidsyth and timidity and in my computer fluidsynth is faster, so i am gessing u'r not using a realtime kernel. if u'r using ubuntu u can search on synaptic manager for the kernel and modules that end with rt or install the linux-rt package, another way arround is to install or convert to http://ubuntustudio.org/ and after that u'll have to give some high priority previleges to the musical programs, has for instruments quality u can try searching on http://www.hammersound.net/ u have a GM file called fluidR3 with pro quality
