039 - Turkish Installation Manual

Post by duckling » Sun Dec 09, 2007 10:37 am

Hi everyone! I'm Mert from Turkey and i'll translate a part of the Installation Manual into Turkish. By the way, I want to remember you that my username at Google Code is merty92 to prevent confusion.

Here is the description of the issue at Google Code:
Translate part of the Installation Manual to a non-English Language
Description

The Joomla! help site provides an Installation Manual in English.

http://help.joomla.org/content/category/48/268/302/

http://downloads.joomlacode.org/docmanf ... on_0.5.pdf

For this task you will translate (at a minimum) part of this manual into a
non-English language. Specifically, you should work first on these four
sections:

Minimum System Requirements http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1938/302/

Final Preparation http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1941/302/

Installation http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1943/302/

Web Browser Installation http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1947/302/
I claimed this task on 4th December 2007 and the deadline is 18th December 2007.

I will add the translated files here in the following days to get some feedback.

Currently Minimum System Requirements, Final Preparation and Installation parts are translated and I'm now working on Web Browser Installation.

Hi Mert -

How is your task coming along? Is there anything we can do to help?

A quick update would be most appreciated.

Thanks!
Amy :)

Everything seems to be OK for now! :)

I had 6 exams this week that's why the task hasn't finished yet. I'm going to finish it this weekend.

Best Regards,

Mert

Hi everyone,

I have completed my task and now waiting for your reviews.

Rar file is larger than 100 KB so I couldn't attach it to my post. Instead, I uploaded to my hosting account :)

Download Link: http://dev.frih.net/joomla.rar

King Regards,

Mert

Thanks very much, Mert. I PM'ed okckilinc, who is a member of our Translation Working Group for the Turkish Language, to see if he or someone he knows might review your work and recommend changes required.

Your contributions to the Joomla! community are very much appreciated,
Amy :)

Mert -

Has okckilinc contacted you? Or, are you still waiting? If you are still waiting, please upload your documents to Google and we will close out the task. That way, you can take another task, you want to. Hopefully, when okckilinc has had time, you will help with changes that might be required.

Look forward to hearing from you,
Amy :)

Hello,

No, he hasn't contacted me yet. I have just uploaded the rar-archive to Google and checked for mistakes again but couldn't find any.

I hope it's ok! :)

Best wishes,

Mert

Thanks Mert for your contribution to the Joomla! community. We will continue to try to reach okckilinc so that this gets put to get use for our Turkish speaking community members.

Thank you, again, for selecting this task and doing this work. This extends Joomla!'s value for others and it is much appreciated,
Amy :)

No problem. I'm always there for any kind of work (coding, translation) even if it's for GHOP or not :)

Just mail/PM me, and I'll be there ;)
