Re: 009 - Create a Joomla! v 1.5 plugin to convert articles to Pirate Speak.
Whoops, I feel guilty over my loooong absence :-D
I uploaded the fixed zip (I doublechecked the bugger this time) to joomlacode and it really OUGHT to work!
P.S. leet is still in the habit of eating an article's whole body but I'll leave it at that.

Hey - I'm just glad to see you again!
Pull leet out if it's not working correctly.
Otherwise, it looks good. When you have it where you want it, upload it to Google and we'll sign this baby off.
Thanks!!!!
Amy

Try running $changeto on line 176 of tfs-leet.php through htmlentities(). Some of your "to" values may be getting parsed as HTML tags or tag parts.fealebenpae wrote: Whoops, I feel guilty over my loooong absence :-D

Re: 009 - Create a Joomla! v 1.5 plugin to convert articles to Pirate Speak.
Thanks for the suggestion, jlleblanc, but I already tried that in several combinations, but I'm not inclined to bang my head against it much longer. Anyway, I'm uploading the final, leet-less version to joomlacode and the ghop page.

Yea! Thanks for completing this task. And, for adding the entire suite of languages from the original WP TFS. You never now when someone might need a chef!
Task accepted as complete.

Hi,
I was testing and I wanted to let you know there is a small problem with having upper case letters that was making the plugin not work on my site.

Thanks for noticing that, Elin. I couldn't spot it because my server runs on a case-insensitive filesystem.

It's really a fun plugin.
But I have to say, Ian was the one who said to look at the cases when I couldn't get the parameter to show.

@MiCCAS
It's Joomla! and its people that are awesome. This plugin is just a by-product of said awesomeness
@mcsmom
Kudos to Ian as well, then :-D I have a question. What do I do if I've already uploaded the version with the buggy parameter XML statement to Google Code? Can I replace it or something?

Re: 009 - Create a Joomla! v 1.5 plugin to convert articles to Pirate Speak.
I think you probably can, it's a good idea because that may show up in a search. But the main thing is to upload it a joomlacode since that's where most people will find it.

I uploaded the fixed version to joomlacode when you told me about the bug, Elin. I'll upload it now to the google code group. Thanks again.

I'm not sure if there is space left on the google code area, but if not just post a link to the joomlacode site.fealebenpae wrote: I uploaded the fixed version to joomlacode when you told me about the bug, Elin. I'll upload it now to the google code group. Thanks again.

Re: 009 - Create a Joomla! v 1.5 plugin to convert articles to Pirate Speak.
I'm loving some of these GHOP extensions! I've successfully installed this one, but I can't quite grasp it's usage. How do I define which filter I want to use (globally)?
Thanks!

Re: 009 - Create a Joomla! v 1.5 plugin to convert articles to Pirate Speak.
Thanks for your interest! When you open the plugin preferences you should see a list of the available filters under the caption 'Filters'. You can select one (for example 'kraut'), set Filtering to All Articles and then choose the categories in which you want the articles filtered (or simply select All for global filtering). Oh, and don't forget to enable the plugin. Most of these filters only work on English text.MasterC wrote: I'm loving some of these GHOP extensions! Re: 009 - Create a Joomla! v 1.5 plugin to convert articles to P
Thanks for the response!
I've checked the plugin, but I assume the location where you mention that option I have the following message:
Element not defined for type = Filter
Do I have an older version installed? I got it from:
http://code.google.com/p/google-highly- ... etail?id=9
But just now when I looked it appears there is a newer version link, I'll give that a whirl and come back and follow up.
Thanks!

It appears that didn't fix it for me. Here's the direct link for the file I just downloaded:

Thanks for any info or ideas!

Re: 009 - Create a Joomla! v 1.5 plugin to convert articles to P
I just reupped the version I have to joomlacode. A minor typo in the xml file of the project caused this error on some Linux systems. Sorry about that.

Cool, thank you! I'm not sure I can see it, the latest version I see says it is from December 15th 2007. Here's the link to the project page I'm looking at:fealebenpae wrote:I just reupped the version I have to joomlacode. That's the release version. I just replace the zip file within it. Give it a try and see how it works for you.

Re: 009 - Create a Joomla! v 1.5 plugin to convert articles to P
Thanks for the very quick responses!
I grabbed the "SalusaSecundus" version first. It gave me the same message:
Element not defined for type = Filter
Then I uninstalled it, grabbed the "PetroPrimo" version, and it had fewer features and gave me the same message.
I appreciate you working on getting the working zip up for me!
For what it's worth (FWIW), I'm running:
Gentoo Linux 2.6.22
Apache 2.0.58
PHP 5
If I had any idea how to do what you've done, I'd dig and try to fix it myself. But this code is more advanced than my current knowledge
Thanks again!
