Post by peachepe » Thu Jan 03, 2008 12:20 am

Hi, I'm the one who claimed the task #124.

I'm going to create a Joomla! plug-in to use joomla's username & password to login  to MediaWiki.

Yea!!!

What do you need to get started? Have you had any experience with Joomla! development before? Do you need some hints? Or, are you ready to get rolling?

Thanks for taking this one - gotta have MediaWiki integration!  8)

Have you found the Authentication Plugins for Joomla!, yet? Those are in the plugins\authentication\ folder. There is one for gmail, LDAP and OpenID, plus an example one, as well. I think those could be very helpful.

And, these examples from the task ought to give you the blueprint of what is needed to logon to MediaWiki.

  # AuthPlugin - http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/AuthPlugin
  # Drupal Implemenation- http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/AuthDrupal
  # WordPress Implementation -
http://hery.blaogy.org/2007/02/21/media ... tegration/

Please let me know if this is helpful, or not. We are here to answer your questions and ensure you are successful with your task. You are certainly not expected to know these things - so do not feel bad about asking LOTS of questions!

Thanks for participating with us!
Amy :)

peachepe -

Tomorrow is the last day to claim tasks and we were really hoping this would be done. Community involvement is very important and it has been nearly three weeks since we have heard from you. That's okay, because it's understandable how life gets busy.

I'm going to cancel this task in hopes that someone else might be able to do it as their last task. Thanks for understanding.

Amy :)

Hi Amy, I would really love to take this task :D. I'm already uploading the final version of the blog calendar to the joomlacode page and posting the link in the google page.
