Post by Nitrosh » Sat Dec 15, 2007 1:54 pm

Hi! I'm Nitrosh (David is my real name), from Spain, Barcelona. I claimed this task:
Translate part of the Installation Manual to a non-English Language
==Description==

The Joomla! help site provides an Installation Manual in English.

http://help.joomla.org/content/category/48/268/302/

http://downloads.joomlacode.org/docmanf ... on_0.5.pdf

For this task you will translate (at a minimum) part of this manual into a
non-English language. Specifically, you should work first on these four
sections:

Minimum System Requirements http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1938/302/

Final Preparation http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1941/302/

Installation http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1943/302/

Web Browser Installation http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1947/302/

NOTE: When claiming this task, specify which language you will be
translating into. Be as specific as possible, especially if your language
has local versions.

*Prior to claiming this task, please review the other copies of it to
ensure that you are not doing the same translation as another participant.*

Additional resources:

You may want to visit the sites of the Joomla! translation partner for your
language. http://dev.joomla.org/content/view/42/66/

You may also want to consult participants on the language specific forums
for your language. These are found in the "International Zone" of the
joomla.org forums.

http://forum.joomla.org/index.php

is a fluent reader of your language review your files.

Hi David.

Just to confirm, you are planning to translate into Catalan?

Thanks for participating in the GHOP. If you have questions, be certain to ask.

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm working on the translation of Joomla! 1.5 into Catalan, but we aren't yet a translation partner.
We are glad to see more people interested in the translation of Joomla into Catalan.

I want to help David with his task. Feel free to ask about any question.
If you want to take a look at the current translation of Joomla into Catalan, it can be found at joomlacode:
http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/catalan/frs/
The full package contains the translated installer so you can take screenshots from there if you wish.

David -

We are going to open this task for another contestant. We have not heard from you in so long. I understand life gets busy and I hope you are well.

Tomorrow is the last day to claim new tasks and we do want to see the Joomla! Installation Guide translated into other languages so other people can make use of it.

Thanks for understanding!
Amy :)
