I'm using Windows webhosting services and have the SEO settings in my Global Configuration set to allow SEF URL's but I'm getting the index.php included within all the URL strings. For instance, http://www.mysite.com/index.php/joomla-license.html

I did a search for this issue but couldn't find anything helpful. Is there a fix somewhere for us Windows folks? I did try creating a php.ini file that was mentioned somewhere on one of the posts but it didn't do anything. Thanks for any help.

The SEO actually makes the index.php file stay in the path. I corrected the problem by turning that off (SEO off). I am not sure about a fix as I have the same problem.

I have index.php in all my URL's as well, with System SEF plugin turned on OR off. I am hosting on a localhost using WAMP. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

enable .htaccess on local install
