HTTP error
Hi, I have some problems with Joomla SEO. In tools webmaster there are two warnings: Errors for URLs in Sitemaps and HTTP errors.

Turn on "Use Apache mod_rewrite" within the Joomla Global Config. Then rename the htaccess.txt file in your web directory to .htaccess

Sorry, but I can't find "Use Apache mod_rewrite" . The file I have already renamed in .htaccess

Try purging your Joomla cache and SEF URLs.

This error was detect on Sep 15, 2008 ... maybe I must wait ?

ok thank you very much, but I have an other problem: in diagnostic (webmaster tools) there are two problems:
Duplicate meta descriptions: 88 pages
Duplicate title tags: 89 pages
Why this errors? maybe is sh404sef component?

yes that probably has something to do with your SEF component.

you must be update stiemap , and then wait for Googlebot update your site.

I am running under Joomla! 1.0.13 and I cannot find the path you mention (Tools>Clean Cach). Is this normal?

For Joomla 1.0.x it's at SYSTEM > CLEAN ALL CACHES but will only be an available menu item if you have cache turned on within your Joomla Global config.

Hi Dave,
Thank you for indication. (though I 've still not been able to solve my major problem... but I could clean my cach...)
Do you know why and how some Fatal error may happen in the site? Is it a but one should fear all the time to happen from time to time or was due to some component installation (i had installed the sh404SEF which was working quite right for some days and then I got a disorder in my site and checking the main menu, I get a fatal error due to memory allocation...
