Turn on "Use Apache mod_rewrite" within the Joomla Global Config. Then rename the htaccess.txt file in your web directory to .htaccess

yes that probably has something to do with your SEF component.

For Joomla 1.0.x it's at SYSTEM > CLEAN ALL CACHES but will only be an available menu item if you have cache turned on within your Joomla Global config.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for indication. (though I 've still not been able to solve my major problem... but I could clean my cach...)

Do you know why and how some Fatal error may happen in the site? Is it a but one should fear all the time to happen from time to time or was due to some component installation (i had installed the sh404SEF which was working quite right for some days and then I got a disorder in my site and checking the main menu, I get a fatal error due to memory allocation...

Any help would be welcome...
