How to use SEF Url

well i am using joomla 1.5 with community builder 1.7, Everythin is fine, other than when u click an internal link on my site u will find that SEF Url is working but the issue is that index.php comes in between i tried installing third party plugins but issue was not solved, Could anybody help me to find a solution i hope it would be simple,,,, thanks in advance

Are you on an Apache web server?
If so, set this setting in global config to yes 'Use Apache mod_rewrite'.

Well mod_rewrite is on already that is why SEF is working partially...

To remove the "index.php" from the URL you also must rename the htaccess.txt file to .htaccess
