However, special attention to the link on this point is rel nofollow (or external nofollow) or not. If the link is pointing to a rel nofollow is building links from that page almost meaningless (at least one can good for marketing).

yes, all of these lists of things are good, but it really comes down to quality links of high power, from your niche equivalent sites. no point a car site pointing to a dog site.

A lot of link building companies will rip you off, i know as i worked in one for a while as they lied to people. You need to learn enough to know what questions to ask if you are going to pay someone. I find that forums can be a great source of information, particularly warrior and digital point. Hang with the experts and work out what is most efficient for you to do to get quality links to your site.
