The new streamlined process for Joomla! User Group registration is here!

All of the approval backlog has been cleared. Group owners have been sent login information so that they can edit their own entries.

Because a large number of entries were imported, there may still be some cleanup and corrections to do. If you have a group, you are urged to login and make certain that your entry is correct. If you input the website address for your group and it isn't displaying on your listing, then chances are it is not on the list of Trademark approved sites. If you have a site with any version of Joomla or joo in the name, you should complete the Domain Name Request form at Open Source Matters. These domain names won't be displayed in your user group listing until the Trademark team has approved them.

A new feature with this directory is to include a link to your People group at http://people.joomla.org as well as links to your twitter account or facebook page.

Directory entries also offer the ability to comment about a User Group or report a user group, so we're depending on the entire community to help make the system work.

Please note the User Group naming conventions in http://community.joomla.org/user-group- ... klist.html For the sake of speed, temporary exceptions were made to get all the groups imported into the new system. If your group doesn't comply with these naming conventions, expect an email later asking you to modify the name.
