Great meeting last night and our Joomladay plans are now well on the road.  :) Thanks to all who came along, for your excellent ideas and input. Special welcome to new faces Kim and Jay.

Watch out for an announcement here soon about Joomladay.

Oh, and somehow we forgot to choose a presentation topic for our February 12 meeting. Any offers to present please let me know, otherwise we may cover presentations of interest from the Melbourne Joomladay since Scott and I are going to attend. see http://melbourne.joomladay.org.au

Hi Dinah,

I spoke to my contact in SMH last night. He didnt promise me on anything but said he will try his best
to speak to someone in respective department. I hope he will get back to me sometime this week.

Lots of interesting things to talk about from the Melbourne Joomladay - some excellent presentations. Be there next Tues 12th to get the lowdown (reminder will be issued later this week).

Since hosting is the most hotly debated subj. at the moment, we are making in the topic of our March meeting. If you want to come along representing a hosting company, you must register with me first please. Otherwise bring along your recommendations.

old news now but Rocket Theme have released the RokBridge bridge for Joomla 1.5 to phpBB3 for those involved in the discussion at the end of the evening re: what it the best forum for 1.5 over fireboard.

The prediction on the night that Joomla.org was moving it's forums to phpBB3 at that very specific moment in time was 100% correct... as it turns out.

I must say that I still like SMF *TONS* better, but I might use a bridged system soon to see just how it works.

We are not using any bridge at all.
We have just migrated, all account etc etc..

There is still lots to do, but in time we will 'pretty' things up around here.
