Folks - there is not a single other location on this entire planet that can boast a Joomla! Users Groups with TWO Joomla! Forum Global Moderators in attendance.

That's right, Omaha, Nebraska is going to kick off our very own Joomla! Users Group and ChiefGoFor (Ken Crowder) and dhuelsmann (Dave Huelsmann) are both proud founding members! Nice, huh? 

If you are in the Omaha, Nebraska area, please see our Omaha Joomla! User Group page for time and location. We plan to keep it casual, meet for an hour, or so, enjoy a good cup of coffee or tea, get to know one another and talk about Joomla!. We certainly hope others from Lincoln, Council Bluffs and the Omaha area will join us, too!

Who says Omaha folk are boring? We find entertainment in the simple things in life... like... spoons. Yippee!!

I want to make it very clear. I am not from Omaha. 

And some think the BIG event in May is Joomla! Day USA West! or Joomla! Day Australia in Sydney or IT 360 Conference and Expo in Toronto.
Not even close!  :P

The BIG Joomla! event in May 2007 is the very first ever Omaha (and surrounding area) Joomla! User Group Meeting for May 1 at 7:00 pm at Panera Bread at 17730 W Center in Omaha.
Bring your spoons and May Day Basketry!

Hey Everyone. It was nice to meet everyone in person. I hope to do it again next month!  Oh, Dave, we forgot to take a picture before you left, so we decided to wait until next time.

It was really great! So nice to sit and talk.

If anyone else is thinking of starting a JUG - I say GO FOR IT! We had five people and so much fun talking about Joomla! and all kinds of other geeky things. All you need is one other person and a place to meet.

PS - Dave you left too early. They started talking about "remember when?" ... and, they can only go back so far. Wasn't very interesting!

I am old needed to get back - have some wine and get my beauty sleep. Oh, the wine was the most important part. 

It was great seeing everyone. Next meeting 1st Tuesday of the month.

Andy is really in the know - it pays to be part of the Omaha JUG. You learn stuff out WAY ahead of the world! Hopefully, you'll get your domains back, Andy!

Dear Nebraska Omaha JUGers -

I assume we are still planning on no July meeting. I will be in Chicago *hopefully* enjoying a nice beer, my husband and kids, step-daughter and son-in-law and some BLUES!    If I remember correctly, Ken, Michelle and Ryland also had plans. (Hope you all are finding a couple of hours of sleep here and there!)

So - no July meeting. Correct?

Regardless, I hope to see the NO-JUG gang in August! (Yes, we can work on the acronym.  :P)

I have to pass this month, although I hope others are able to make it. I have a side gig that is eating up my evening time for the next week or so.

Afraid I am not available either.

Summers are always tough. Maybe September!

I think it was the trips to Chicago that messed us up!  That, and Ken's got his brand new baby taking his coffee drinking time.

We need new recruits for us old timers. And, mainly we need time. We're always here!

Good luck with your Chicago event. You know, a Chicago Joomla! Days event might be enough for the three of us to get into a VW Bus and head up to the Windy City.

First Tuesday is the 6th and I, unfortunately, have a conflicting meeting at Biaggis that evening. Want to change the date anyone?
