Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

I would like to set up a Vancouver Island, BC, Canada Joomla user group to meet in my Nanaimo home, weekly or monthly. If there are others interested, please reply to this post. If I get replies I will set it up.

In your reply include:
* How often you would like to meet
* Joomla versions used
* Your distance from Nanaimo
* Your level of Joomla experience
* What you would have to offer the group
* Experience with type of coding you are familiar with.

Inexperienced but interested members are welcome. It would just be nice to know what potential members could contribute.

I would like to see once a week on a Monday or Tuesday
I have used all the Joomla versions. (started with Mambo about a year before Joomla was created.)
My home is in the Departure Bay area 3.4 k from the Ferry
I conciser myself an intermediate user.
I offer the group a place to meet on a regular basis.

Any time is good for me. I am retired on 100% VA disability for PTSD. Usually up and around about 7am untill 11pm

My Joomla experience started with mambo then joomla when the Joomla core group split off from Mambo. I would class myself as self tough intermediate. good on graphic design, weak on php coding. Eager to learn more.

BTW I am a 66 year old US citizen living in Nanaimo (Perminent resident) with a Canadian wife.

Here's the the link to the Renegades they call themselves a group of Victoria's visual communicators. They meet every month to have a drink and talk about what they do.

They have also start a chapter in Nanaimo and the last meeting was held on Nov 29th.
