Hello :)

I would like to know the procedure to request domain name use with word Joomla.
I went through OSM articles, but little confused. Here is my queries:

Do I need to purchase the domain, make it live and than request its use ?
Which email ID I am suppose to use, name@joomladomain.com or name@gmail.com ?
How much it might take for approval ? Can I continue use of the blog (domain name) in mean time ?

The site will be Joomla tips and tutorial blog also offering web designing services. It will be monetized with Adsense.

Any form of guidance is greatly appreciated.

no, you can request use before buying the name but osm would need to see a sample page if you havent built the proper site yet. it says on the form
"All applications must be for a live site. A site can be held on a temporary domain, but any non reachable, placeholders or redirected sites will be automatically rejected. If you are currently using a temporary domain, please enter that in the "purpose" box."

whatever email you want providing its not been used for osm registration before

approval can be very quick if there are no issues with your site or application form

So it dosent matter if I host my site on subdomain of other site.
Will it create problem if add adsense in future ?

adverts has no relevance (unless you are showing unsuitable adverts)
it is the tld thats relevant. eg joomlaname.bod requires registering but joomlaname.somesite.bod may not
best way is to apply and see what happens
