Article titles not displaying since updating to 2.5.27

I recently updated Joomla to 2.5.27 and now noticed that any article in a category menu list will not display the article title. I have not altered any view settings and they were being displayed prior to the update.

If I attempt to edit any articles in the list from the frontend the article is completely blank. No title and no content. but fully editable from the frontend..... I am totally bewildered and this error has broken much of my site being comprised of many category lists.

This is not a browser related issue either as it's the same in a number of different browsers.

PLEASE HELP ASAP!

Try a standard Template ... if the menu doesn't show then type in the url.
