Haribo85....that looks like a permission problem.

I managed to get a folder created but it would not create the thumbnail image. I changed the thmbnail folder permissions and thumbnail created OK..

Ryan....the folder was created with permission of 511.....hope this helps

I have a question about jce: the html code that the editor produce is w3c standard?

If a realize a site with valid html, and some users write news with the jce, the html is always standard and pass the validator of w3c?

Thanks

looks pretty neat so far. good work.

i do have some problems, though:

phpthumb needed to be configured to use a local tmp directory instead of the serverglobal one for open_basedir issues.

thumbnail folders created by the image manager have bizarre rights of 4something.

and another one. the image manager does create tags without the src attribute, i.e.:

Code:
img border="0" alt=" " hspace="5" vspace="5" align="right" />

ff 1.5
joomla 1.0.8

uhm..

it appears i was being stupid. forget the above error description.

when in list view, i can click the image file name to insert it. but in thumbnail view, there is no image file name to click, so i can't insert anything.
is this the way it is supposed to work?

Sorry, my mistake. I will correct this. You need to Double-Click thumbnail view images.

Hi Ryan,

I just wanted to add my thanks to the growing list :) I've just downloaded the package and will be testing over the weekend before uploading to my client sites. (I'll be charging them all a standard £20 [about $33] fee for the upgrade, which will come to you in the form of a donation ;) ). Great work once again!!!

It is supposed to tell you this in the little message bar, and I think the help file mentions it.

Not much double-clicking on the internet though, so I don't think many people would figure this out....ooops!

I will have to hard code it.

I assume you are talking about the cache directory?

no, i'm actually talking about the temporary directory. there is a setting in phpthumb's config.php, but phpthumb doesn't really care much about that. there is another option to set this in phpthumb.class.php at object level, but setting that one sorta broke the image manager's directory handling.
i'm still working on this one.

edit: this is what the image manager looks like now, additionally, the javascript console show an error "topDoc not defined".

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Create a 'temp' folder in the phpthumb folder and set this in the config:

Code:
$PHPTHUMB_CONFIG['temp_directory'] = dirname(__FILE__).'/temp/';

I will make this happen for the next Image Manager release. I love this new modular system.

i do realise that maybe the current problems (as depicted above) stem from opendir errors disruptung javascript blocks. those opendir errors appear on the manager trying to open the thumbnail directories.

edit: thumbnail folders created by the image manager have permissions set to 043, which is
Code:
---r---wx
appears totally random to me, buit is reproducable behaviour.
