Hi Ryan.

I see that you have released new versions of several of your packages to JCE today.

Is there any changes in the language files?
And are you planning to make a list of newly added translation strings?

I'm soon to be finished with the norwegian translation for JCE!

No there are no changes in the 1.0.2 releases. The only change was in the Image Manager from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1

Ha ha always!

Please bear in mind that JCE is a work in progress, and can never really labelled 'Stable' like people expect it to, but that doesn't mean it isn't. The thing to do is install it and test it thoroughly, if it works well for you , use it.

I am trying very hard to make it as stable as possible as quickly as possible, and the core system is pretty good I think and pretty stable.

I hate to make dup posts and be a pest but this problem with the imagemanager window not resizing in ff is keeping me from putting jce into production.

Any advice?

Thanks,

-jay

Hands down the best editor I've seen.

I've got one problem that is probably my fault.

I'm using FF 1.5 and the window for the Imagemanager is too small for the form.  Unfortuantely I don't see a FF opton to stretch or enlarge it.  (see the attachment). .

Anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Thanks,

What about the File Manager or Media Manager?

The media manager found at "site->media manager" works fine.

I'm not sure where the filemanager is located?

I found the answer on the ff support forum at: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... 59#2115859
Quote:
think this is the too-small-popups issue. I don't know what causes it, but to make all the windows resizable, type about:config to location bar and hit enter. Find dom.disable_window_open_feature.resizable and set it to true by double clicking on value.

(I've seen this happen and it wasn't an extension nor spyware. The setting azmar mentions controls if non-chrome javascript is allowed to resize windows.)

Yes, I will have a look at this, but I may decide to use TinyMCE's tab script as it is easier to implement.

Hi Ryan
I could finally install JCE and all its plugins
I've no words to explain how AWESOME is this new version.

I had a little problem although:
In the advanced image manager, the one where you can upload images, see thumbnails, listview, etc. I cannot view preview images in IE nor FireFox. This is the code that IE gives me when i do image properties in IE

Code:
http://www.site.com/mambots/editors/jce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/imgmanager/classes/phpthumb/phpThumb.php?src=/images/stories/book.jpg&w=140&h=140&f=jpg

Image

However, images are inserted in editor and they can be seeing correctly, but preview in popup is not working here
Any workaround ? Maybe something I missed ?

Thanks a lot in advance.

hi doctorlife
After fighting lot of time with hosting provider, you're right

I had to set chmod 755 to the phpThumb.php file, now it is working perfect !!

Is there anyway to configure JCE to sort the directories alphabetically?

The "toggle guidelines / Invisible Elements" button is not removing the dashed borders around the tables.  Is this a configuration parameter, something on my PC or something else?

Thanks

Hi

after initially finding this editor limited compared to mosCE, I have had a chance to play around with it and upload plugins etc. it's beginning to grow on me.

I have two questions, the first is when clicking on the Insert/Edit Image icon I get this:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: authcheck() in /usr/home/lymesite/public_html/mambots/editors/jce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/imgmanager/manager.php on line 59

and the second question is, when using Mosets Tree and mosCe, I had a large area to write text and insert images in but JCE seems to have shrunk that right down, is there a way to enlarge this.  See images for view with JCE and view with mosCe.

Any ideas?

Buster

YES!

In your \mambots\editors\jce\jscripts\tiny_mce\plugins\imgmanager\images.php file

(Nb this worked for me - test and discard if it doesn't work for you)

(Sorry, oversight on my part - my mistake - see below)
Before line 366, insert this code:

Code:
               sort($dirs);

... giving you:

Code:
...
              html += '<option value="/">/</option>';
              <?php
                   //hack - sort directories listing!!! ;o) Alex H for www.upsu.net 20060322
               sort($dirs);
               foreach( $dirs as $dir )
                  {
...

Change lines 365-366 as follows - from:

Code:
363              html += '<select class="dirWidth" id="dirPath" name="dirPath" onchange="updateDir(this)">';
364              html += '<option value="/">/</option>';
365              <?php foreach( $dirs as $dir )
366                  {
367                    $sel = ( $curr_dir == $dir ) ? ' selected="selected"' : '';
368                    ?>

Code:
363              html += '<select class="dirWidth" id="dirPath" name="dirPath" onchange="updateDir(this)">';
364              html += '<option value="/">/</option>';
365              <?php
366 added    -->   sort ($dirs);
367 changed -->   foreach( $dirs as $dir )
368                  {
369                     $sel = ( $curr_dir == $dir ) ? ' selected="selected"' : '';
370                    ?>

Just to make that absolutely clear, change this:

Code:
<?php foreach( $dirs as $dir )

to this:

Code:
<?php
sort ($dirs);
foreach( $dirs as $dir )

Hi deckmunki

the latest release of JCE has fixed the problems I had but your answer to wakulla didn't work on my version 1.07 either.  Great idea though maybe someone else will help you get this done??

Thanks anyway.

deckmunki,

I'm on 1.0.4 and the referenced code is a little further down in the file.  I added the "sort" and it didn't work - screwed up the display.

Thanks for the try though!

Any other sugestions?  Anyone?

I am terribly, terribly sorry chaps - total oversight on my part as I didn't look at the original php file to compare before posting. I've corrected the mistake now, so unless the code isn't the same, that should fix your sorting issues.

In fairness, if I'd been able to find how the directories are listed originally, there might have been a more clean method of sorting the directories, but this seems to work fine for me.

Please shout if this still doesn't work for you (also pass on an example of your directory naming convention as my set-up is strictly alphanumeric, so I can't test it on extended characters yet...).

/al

While we're on the subject of JCE, does anyone know anything about CSS here.  Here's my delima.  The CSS within the templates are really messing with JCE and other editors.  If I know how to override all CSS, I could hack that into the JCE bot so that I have a clean slate to work with.

Thanks

Use the alernative "editor_content.css" and set parameters accordingly in the bot parameters.
