Re: You favourite Joomla framewok.
Is there any API for Joomla which doesnt needs PHP ? RPC has been killed so its only possible to make APIs around the actual data. Thats a real pity btw. The RPC version in the 1.6 (removed) was not bad at all. It enabled inter-plugin communication and in that also communication with external APIs(non-php) in a more clean way.

I've not looked into Joomla frameworks as I didn't know there were any. But I hope some members post here with the pros and cons as I'd like to know opinions and details of the frameworks

However i am working with Joomla for years, i didn't know it has frameworks. I also visited your review and it seems that none of those frameworks support Joomla 2.5 yet.

I'm new in Joomla, but i like to write my components with the XCIDeveloper, you can use the CodeIgniter to write your codes in joomla.
The disavantage that i see is that every component, plugin or something else you write, it will have the full CodeIgniter code inside it.

The impossible we do now. A miracle ? It's just take a while...

I like helix framework by Joomshaper.com
Its not TOO MUCH complicated, yet flexible enough. Gantry is my second choice.

Re: You favourite Joomla template framework
The subject of this thread is template frameworks. You don't have to use any of these in Joomla but many of the template developers have written frameworks to make template development easier.alwayshere wrote:However i am working with Joomla for years, i didn't know it has frameworks.
Often you need to install the template framework before the template will work. For example, you need to install Gantry Framework before installing Gantry RocketTheme templates.

Re: You favourite Joomla framewok.
I like the T3 framework. Here are its features:
It comes with administration features such as easy typography usage, Ajax driven or profiles management in the back-end. Mega Menu, Multiple layout system, Mobile Ready and Native RTL support are other features of JA T3.
