Verification email to visitor is not being sent.

I completed the lengthy registration form to the "Magazine" arena. On Submit, the note said that verification had been sent. That was more than 2 hours ago. Still nothing at the in-box.

Yes, I can spell my email address twice.
Yes, I know all about Trash/Spam/ folders.
Yes, Joomla is not blocked - by me.

It's not always the user.

Is signing up for the courses having problems as well?

I'm not surprised the techs can't fix it or any of the Training/Certification pages. More like a museum of yesterdays Joomla. R.I.P. Joomla.
