My Idea
My Idea is to add the Meta Title field to the Joomla Article and Categories.

Both the "Meta Descriptions" and "Meta Keywords" fields are present in the "Articles Manager: Edit Article" and Category Manager: Edit an Articles Category" Screens

The functionality would be the same for the Meta Titles as it would be for the meta descriptions.

Currently you can use the Meta Description field and then a 3rd Party extention to manage the Meta Titles. It would be great if the Joomla Core could handle all 3 pieces of Meta Data Information.

What I can do
I can get this done. Well I personally do not have the coding skills but I am able to pay a developer I know to get this done.

My Questions / Concerns:
1. Are there any technical limitations why this can not be done or is a bad idea?
2. When we complete this and it works well, what are the odds it will be accepted into the Joomla Core? I would hate to spend the money and energy to have it go nowhere
3. Is any one aware if this has been attempted before? I would not want to reinvent the wheel?


The meta title is a very important on page factor and I think it could really help a lot of people by being part of the core, so that they do not have to rely on a 3rd party extension.
