jQuery vs Mootools

Post by Leftfield » Mon Jun 10, 2013 4:39 am

Hi All, Hi mates!!!

I know that this is wonderful feature http://docs.joomla.org/J3.1:Javascript_Frameworks but it would be really nice (at least from my perspective) if there would be a core plugin or a button with we could switch between jQuery or Mootools.

It's been long time that I stopped using <jdoc:include type="head" /> to avoid mootools, core and caption (and RSS links in some cases).

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,
Miljan.

Right now, the road is towards a jquery only position. One of the Google Summer of Code projects is about replacing Mootools by Jquery. As far as I can tell, this possibly can also make it into the CMS.
