Hreflang tags in language switcher

Hreflang tags in language switcher

Hreflang tags are a useful SEO instrument for multilingual sites to show search engines alternative version of an article in other languages. In perhaps 90% of cases the same article in alternative language is found on the same website and reached via the language switcher.

We build lots of multilingual sites, and it would be very handy if the language switcher was able to also add these tags into the <head> section of the site.

Have you considered doing this? It should be a fairly straight forward modification.

Joomla already inserts hreflang tags. It's done by Language Filter plugin, not Language Switcher module.

So this function can be call from URL button on menu bar, right ?
