These damn spammers..

Hi folks,

I am just wondering what the system is for banning the spammers? Maybe I am just on at times when the spammers hit up the site but at the moment there is someone submitting threads about every 30 seconds (for nearly the last hour).

Is anything in place to automatically ban folks when they are continually reported for off topic posts?

If you need a hatchet man to instantly ban/delete these folks then give me the keys to the tools and I will willingly help out.

Unfortunately, banning spammers is all manual work (about 20.000 spam accounts in 5 years). December has always been notorious for more spammers due to christmas being celebrated. Normally, spammers would post one or two messages and then leave. The spammers that do all those live sport games at the moment are posting massively, which is even more annoying than usual.
