I have a problem with joomla 1.6 Beta 14. I have installed it in Local Host.

To clarify: In Joomla 1.6 there is no longer the sections, all is categories. So i created the category NEWS, and 2 categories else, called Software n Internet, these 2 within News.

Then, i created a Menu Item that shows the software and Internet articles. In other words, i choose for the Menu Item the feature: Category Blog.

But it doesnt show the articles. It should show me all the articles in View of Blog Format.


- Which of the following options should be performing the same function of View Format Blog?... Because I tried all and nothing.

* Archived Articles
* Single Article
* List All Categories
* Category Blog
* Category List
* Featured Articles
* Create Article

I d like to know if i said is an Error of Joomla 1.6 Beta 14 or will there be anothe feature for the Format BLOG.

Did you put any articles in the category News?
There are many options for display, if you want the sub categories shown you may need to change a parameter. Alternatively you can use a categorIES layout.

Hi mcsmom,

Yes, i put articles, but i put it in the Category Software and Internet, not in the category News.

The problem is that i cant show Articles in the Item Menu NEWS (Category NEWS) like i can in joomla 1.5, I refer to the Section Blog Layout.

I thought that the feature "Category Blog"(joomla1.6) was like "Blog Layout" (Joomla 1.5). Maybe theres an error at the time to create a Menu Item with the Style of Blog Layout.

I hope you help me in this doubt. Im not a professional developer in joomla.
