' display_errors = Off ' Should work!

By default its 'On' change it to 'Off '. To find where it setted go to 'php.ini', find the above line and change it to 'Off'. After that re-start your Apache server, by then all notice will be gone!

Thanks,

How about fixing the error instead of muting the error message?

Just go to line 419 in cache.php and change all occurences of $this->_handler to JCache::$_handler:

Code:
   public function &_getStorage()
   {
      if (!isset(JCache::$_handler)) {
         JCache::$_handler = JCacheStorage::getInstance($this->_options['storage'], $this->_options);
      }
      return JCache::$_handler;
   }

Although I wonder why a static instance is initialized with parameters from a non static instance. Is $_handler supposed to be static?

Your path is wrong.

Its ...

htdocs/joomla/libraries/jooma/cache/cache.php

My guess is that both are right (except that "jooma" in the last statement should be "joomla" too).

The first path is for Joomla! installed directly under the web-server's document root (htdocs). The latter is for Joomla! installed into "joomla" subdirectory under the web-server's document root (also htdocs).

FYI, this code is obsolete in recent versions.

In 2.5.6, the function is:
Code:
public function &_getStorage()
   {
      $hash = md5(serialize($this->_options));

      if (isset(self::$_handler[$hash]))
      {
         return self::$_handler[$hash];
      }

      self::$_handler[$hash] = JCacheStorage::getInstance($this->_options['storage'], $this->_options);

      return self::$_handler[$hash];
   }

and no more Strict.

Hi,

I have 2.5.8 and the code as above but still the errors.

In frontend above all articles:
Quote:
Strict Standards: Declaration of JParameter::loadSetupFile() should be compatible with JRegistry::loadSetupFile() in /storage/content/example.com/public_html/libraries/joomla/html/parameter.php on line 512

In backend in K2 f.ex.:
Quote:
Strict Standards: Non-static method JTable::isCheckedOut() should not be called statically in /storage/content/example.com/public_html/libraries/joomla/html/html/grid.php on line 198

Any good ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!
