I'm not sure why this isn't being removed as the stable install release of Joomla. After updating my site with this today, I'm now locked out of logging into the site. I'm working hard to find information on getting the admin to work properly but I haven't had any success.

As an extreme last resort I decided to install the entire site from scratch, and spend days redeploying it (as the only time I have never backedup my site before a update and look what happened).

So, after downloading the newest joomla (2.5.4) and installing nothing else I decided to test the bug in this release that has caused my issue. I logged into the admin panel, played with a few articles and hit the logout button. And just like on my production site, the same thing happened on a fresh install, the admin is now locked out.

Unless I'm missing something, this release should not be available as a stable release install. The fixes that I have found posted, are not working.

When you say you tested a bug, do you mean this one which also has a patch: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla ... m_id=28354

Yes, but since the patch isn't rolled into the live production release, how would users know to install that patch. Especially new people to joomla.

Incidentally that patch doesn't fix the issues... at least not on my site.
