Hi

After cleaning the database and unistalling the reinstalling AdminPro several times, I still can't see a link to the extension in the list and also get the node error. I raised this with Nocholas over at Akeeba and he pointed out that this is a bug which had been raised - together with a solution - by him some time ago.

See: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker/?action=TrackerItemEdit&tracker_item_id=25663
Here's the GitHub issue item: https://github.com/joomla/joomla-platform/issues/40

This is not the first time this has occurred and I think its time for the bug squad to actually fix this or at least provide a good explanation for not doing so and offering a workaround.

An answer / comment would be really appreaciated.

Regards
David

After searching, I found this post, which both explains the problem and provides a solution:

http://www.cmsmind.com/joomla-error-save-failed-jtablemenu-getnode-failed/

It refers to a problem during upgrade, but it fixed my admin backend problem in a j2.5.6 installtion. All I did was add that entry to the menu table and reinstall the affected components and BINGO! Everything there as it should be.

If copy paste doesn't work, just create a new line and enter the values manually - that's what I had to do.

Big thanks to Elaine and I hope the bug squad provides a solution in the next update.

Regards

David
