Website URL: http://www.photoshopuniverse.com

Joomla! version: 1.1

Template: Mobius (Rockettheme)

Additional Extensions (Components, Modules, Plug ins): None

Custom Development: None atm (Forum soon mabey)

Other Features: Daily tutorials

Three (at least) specific areas of my site that I'd like feedback on (design, code, graphics, etc.):  Does my site look engaging and welcoming?  Also, how do my tutorials look?  Are they informative and easy to follow?

Additional Comments:  Thanks for taking time and reviewing my site.

lmao!

My thoughts exactly!
:-[ I was too polite tho, to say it..well, not really since I just said it!

The pictures in the body were a bit squished and tiny and not enough flow around the text.

the site had a VERY RAW look,  hardly a "showcase effort"

Still, the tutorials were very clearly written, and he has a very good leading style with the instructions. Though I hardly use Photoshop, I was able to follow the instructions quite clearly to get the results indicated.

A fancy header graphic that lives up to the website name is a must for sure.

other key would be a feed back forum for each tutorial that showcases the members attempts to follow the tuts.
Using SMF as your Forum, you can the SSI functions that comes with SMF to display a list of posts for a given topic, that makes the site more interactive and appealing and allows you to fine-tune your tutorials (though they are already quite good) and also get ideas from your members.

Although it seems you have'nt really started here, your site shows a lot of promise, and if you also add some CSS tips and helpful ideas on how to incorporate the skills you've learned in your PhotoShop towards your Joomla Templates, you'll get a lot of patronage from the Joomla community!

Thanks for the feedback.  I haven't really had much time to mess around with the design of the site due to finals and writing the tutorials.  Now the winter break is here, I can get on it!

i agree with the above about the header.

being photoshop universe, i would expect a heavily modified version of moblius, not the standard look.
