Hi lovely people,

My personal site, SentirTango has been up and running for a very short time, so it´s very slowly growing. It´s basically bilingual (joomfish) international website for anything related to tango(with an intelectual touch in the content):

http://www.sentirtango.com

Though it has some local event info from the city where I am, Buenos Aires, Argentina, most of the content is available in english as well as spanish.

On the technical side, so far i have identified that load times, specially of the webpage take a bit long, but taking a deep look with webanalyzer, i have more or less got rid of everything i could. What there is now is difficult for me to rake away  :(

I have SMF forum bridged with joomlahacks bridge, JReviews reviews and comments system, thyme events, OpenSEF... and using a modified version of RocketTheme Carbonation template.

There´s also some reported session timeout problems in the forum(which i am investigating)...

The rest seems to be working well.

I invite you to take a look and give me you first impressions or anything you might note  ;)

i have a temporary test user for any of you interested in taking a look inside the registered area:

user: zprueba
pass: joomlatest

(Please don´t post any content or posts with this user)

Thanks a lot,
ViRuLaZo  :)

Hi Virulazo  :),

it is a nice site: clean, easy to navigate and with useful content.  I like the setup and layout. It takes a while to download thought. And I could not even register (using the given password and user name as stated above) neither in the front page nor the FORUM page. I would like to try the FORUM and review system.

Your site is a 'wow'. I really like it. First impression is great.

I will be spending some more time on your site. My Mrs would love me to be more romantic and tango once in awhile.  :)

Was the JReviews reviews and comments system easy to implement? Did you try other comment systems?

I'm impressed with the effort you have put in this site.

Hey thaks, JoeJoomla...i am glad you like it. JReviews is so customizable and robust. As it usually happens with the best components and modules, they are not the easiest to implement(but not too diffuclt either). It just have so many options that it takes a bit longer to go through them all and figure out which ones you want to use.

For example, in the right side of the homepage, if you go down, you have to modules(change to english first): "LATEST ARTICLES FROM USERS" and "LATEST COMMENTS TO ARTICLES". Well those two, believe it or not come from the same module from JReviews. You just have 2 different html templates and have 2 instances of the same module with 2 template suffix(module parameters).

And the Events component(you can click on the central red and black modules or in menu where and when > Buenos Aires ...) is Thyme. Also a wonderfully customizable and powerful component.

Cheers,
NiCo

P.D: Don´t hesitate to ask anything you want...i love to share what i have done. As I said, my biggest concern is the load time of the homepage, but i don´t seem to be able to make it much lighter  :(
