Wow! Completely awesome!

I'm a huge fan of the paranormal as well as quantum physics. I've bookmarked your site.

Thanks all for the positive words. Yeah, I should probably post a revision on this since I've changed the site a fair amount since I first posted this.

Using jomsocial as the social networking aspect of the site now. It blows community builder out of the water and it also has its own video solution, so I got rid of seycret video. Also, ut chat was too server intensive and not handeling the traffic (at times we would have over 200 to 500 people in the live chats). So I switched to mibbit.com and embeded their chat solution and it has worked great.

Also the site used to be on a godaddy shared server and it would lock up everytime we would get 80 or more people on the site at once, so I switched the site over to mediatemple.net 's grid host system and it has been blazing fast and can handle any amount of traffic we throw at it. A wonderful and cheap way to make a site scaleable to any amount of traffic burst that we get.

jholstein,

Great site! Very interactive!

BTW, Go Daddy also offers an inexpensive Grid solution that provides scalability.

Yes, I tried Godaddy's grid hosting before I switched and I had nothing but problems. I was on the phone with Godaddy support for 3 days straight and I finally gave up and canceled. My findings have been, Godaddy is fine for the lower end needs and offer low prices in turn, but their technical support was frustrating and more often than not, the support individual would take the easy way out and not resolve the problem.

I still filter our lower end client needs customers to Godaddy hosting, but I would never refer any of our high end need clients to Godaddy...and I'm speaking from over 3 years experience of working and hosting many, many sites with Godaddy.

Been hosting with Media Temple for over a year now and have 4 sites on their grid server and many other sites on our own DV. Every issue that we or any client I've had has been answered and resolved within a 24 hour period and so far, never once has any problem been left unresolved.

it's slow in ie8 for me too but super-fast in ff (of course). Has anybody figured out any "tricks" to speed things up in ie?
