Hello,

I want to make a new website with this domain: http://www.akima.be but it is already in use by a Joomla! user. On the other side: it seems that this website is dead though. Does anyone of you know how I could contact this user in some way? I would really like to use this domain for my personal website, so many thanks in advance if someone could help me!

This sort of question doesnt really belong on the Joomla forums, but you can do a WHOIS lookup on that domain to see who registered it.

.be domains can be looked up at www.dns.be and there it tells you who to contact regarding the domain. Maybe you can buy it off them?

Unfortunately, if someone already owns the domain you want, your only options are to:

1. Find a new domain to use
2. Contact the owner and see if they will sell it to you

There are companies that just buy up every domain they can get their hands on in the hopes someone will want it and will buy it from them.
