Media Manager is blank and Options in Balnk in Backend

Hello my fine Joomla Gurus,

Since I am not a guru I need your help with two issues which may be related.

1. I am unable to see images in images root and folders using Media Manager. The screen shows the folders on the left but the actual files do not display on the right.
2. When I click on the options button (top right hand corner) for anything, it displays popup that is blank.

Can anyone help with this. I am running Joomla! 2.5.23

The images are displaying on frontend correctly, just can't see them using Media Manager

This seems like a JavaScript issue on your website (and not a permission issue on these files because I'm assuming images do appear on your frontend).

Check your website for JavaScript issues through Google Chrome's console.

I am sorry I really am a newbie. I do not usually use chrome so am unsure exactly what you are requesting that I do. Am I checking javascript on the backend or the frontend.

I used the Javascript console extension from Chrome and it did not identify any issues. What can I try next?
