Why can't I get menu to show up in two different menus?

Post by RoomForJoom » Thu May 21, 2015 8:18 pm

For the life of me I can't figure out why this is not working.
1. I am creating an article as a k2 item in Joomla 2.5. I am giving it it's proper category so it shows up in that page.
2. I am going to the menu option and creating a menu that points to the came category. Then I am selecting the k2 items as menu item type. Then I am k2 item as the item type from the right. In doing so, I want the menu item to show in the top menu items and the inner left menu items. But it's not working. It's only showing in the inner left items and not the top. How in the world do I get this to work?
Thanks
I appreciate you! 8)

Might it be because the top menu is looking for a module to show up whereas, the second module is a menu item?

Start level and End level in the menu module edit screen ?

You may need to Have the Parent Items point to the category then have the first child a menu item type Alias of it's parent. Then the the single Article as a third child.

Top menu Start and end level 1 ... side menu Start level 2 End level all. Alternatively the first child items could be menu item type Menu heading
