Can't find Login introduction customisation

Post by Crazyhorse » Sat Nov 28, 2015 5:39 pm

Some years ago when I made the site I must have added a customised message to the login page thus:

"Please enter your user name and password to access the private areas of the site. If you have forgotten your user name or password please use the links below to retrieve them. If you do not have an account and are you can use the “Don’t have an account” link below to request an account.!"

I now what to change that message and I can't for the life of me find where I did it (brain cells failing me!) I cant find it in the language overrides nor in the template, where else would it be?. It Must be somewhere! Help!

It should be in language overrides, just search for what is appearing as "value", then change it to whatever you desire.
Don't HACK the Joomla! core, Instead "Extend" and/or "Override."
Stay ON the update path.

Yes, I did that, searched for "private areas" as value in language overrides - nada. and it doesn't show in the list of existing language overrides

Did you make it directly into a template override?

Not sure what a template override is. I am using a modified Beez_20 but the modifications are only in the CSS -- http://adventurersquay.com/index.php/login

I wasn't too clear in my first post...
Search for what is on screen now, and make a new override.

Was clear enough, I searched for "private areas" -- as that is part of the text I want to change -- as value in "Extensions / Language Manager / Overrides / New " - no results. And it doesn't show in the list of existing language overrides in "Extensions / Language Manager / Overrides"
