Webpage displaying image compressed

For some reason, a web page sometimes displays images compressed vertically. I've noticed in two locations:

- Category images on SobiPro; and
- Home page using the banner component.

See attached images to see what I mean.

I'm not sure what is causing this problem. I would appreciate any advice.
