Installing sample data separately

I just installed joomla 1.7.3 on my pc with no sample data, but now I want to install sample data. How?

You could re-install it or make a new joomla installation.
It's not about knowing how to do it, It's about knowing what questions to ask and where to ask them..

Not sure why you would want to install sample data after you have installed joomla already.

PLease elaborate?

When I had installed joomla initially i had not chosen install sample data option.....now i feel i should have installed the sample data as it is easy to learn working with joomla...so how can i?

Create a new database and a subfolder and install Joomla with sample data to those. You can then test extensions/practice on it and use the 'clean' install for building your site.

Before creating your site perhaps use pen and paper to help you clarify what content you want. And what your site will be about. Because building a site aimlessly without an end goal is the hard way to learn.
