Hi,
Is there anyway of diagnosing issues in a Joomla site?
I would have thought that updating from 1.6 to 1.7 to 2.5 my site would not be as slimline as a new 2.5 install....
I have some issues with templates not switching (which I have posted up already in the relevant part of the forum) but I then wanted to check the general health of my Joomla site.
Are there any quick ways of diagnosing issues or anything like that?
I'm not an advanced user and this would give me some peace of mind also that the site is working correctly and keep my customers happier also if I can tell them that the site has been "verified" to be in good condition by a trusted 3rd party program...
Thanks,
Kyle

Take a look at Akeeba's "Admin Tools" ... while not a true "diagnostic" tool, it does have a number of features that may help:

Docs: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentat ... tools.html

Phil Taylor has a security audit tool "in the works" ... hopefully it will be released soon. That might help also (when released): http://www.joomla-security.com/
