Hi,
I posted this on an old topic on April 24 but didn't get an answer so I'm trying again here. Not sure if this is the correct thing to do. :-\

I'm on Joomla 2.5 using Beez_20

Like others I'm having trouble removing borders in tables.

In another thread I read:

In Beez all tables inherit from the personal.css
tr, td {
border: 1px solid #DDDDDD;
}

In my version of Beez_20 personal.css, the closest to that I could find was:

tr, td
{
border: solid 1px #ddd
}

I changed it to:

tr, td
{
border: solid 0px #ddd
}

But the problem remains.

Example of the problem here: http://www.uneeducationpourdemain.org/fr/catalogue

Cheers,
Glenys

Can you please switch off caching so I can see which stylesheet needs to be changed? Please swith off, clean all cache and post back so I can help you? I can remove the lines but cannot see due to caching which file

If you use the Firebug extension of Firefox and inspect the table, you can see that the style of the tr and td elements is derived from http://www.uneeducationpourdemain.org/p ... c76cfb.css

Try clearing cache in the server first. I assume that the JCH Optimize plugin has some cache setting as well. Hopefully those operations will get the styles refreshed.

Why this post? I asked that did I? Why you think I ask to switch off caching?

? Is the JCH Optimize plugin also observing the general cache cleaning request?

includes that plugin if I mention clean all cache (read "ALL")

Hi,
The cache was already turned off.
I've cleared the cache in plg_jch_optimize

Please be gentle with me - I'm a not-very-competent amateur.

Cheers,
Glenys

FYI, I just checked the site but I am not seeing table borders. I am assuming you were referring to the tables under where it says:

S'éduquer à orthographier : CD-Rom - Christiane et Maurice Laurent

Hi,

Sorry I'm slow to come back and say I found a workaround. (Had to cook dinner.)

I found that if I turned off the plugin JCH Optimize or if, in that plugin, I deactivated "Combine CSS files" the table borders disappeared as expected. I've chosen the latter solution. I haven't tested yet to see if it slows down the load time of pages.

Thanks for the tip that sent me in the right direction to fiddle with that plugin.

Cheers,
Glenys
