register and pick access level?
i have a site im doing that will have several different levels of user access... my question is, is there a way to allow the user to pick which level when they register? or does it just dump everyone into "Registered"?
to be more specific, im doing a site for a lumber mill. they want to have access levels for:
Suppliers
Flooring
Contractors
Buyers
Timber Companies
so ideally, what i would like, when the user registers, they could have a drop down with those choices... is this possible?

Re: register and pick access level?
that coding method i believe is only for making different user groups outside the "registered" default group in 1.5. 2.5 natively supports making custom groups.
what i need is a way to allow the end user to choose their usergroup without me as an administrator having to manually move them to the correct access level/usergroup

It might be possible to use/adapt Akeeba Subscriptions for this.
