hi all,

i have a problem with articles. i have installed a module for display article in home page but when i click on them joomla open article in the same page(home page). is possible to change this option?

hi,

i try to explain the problem with examples:

the default home page of 2.5 is home (Article in evidence of all categories)

I haven't article in evidence and in hp there are only the module that i have activated for see article

the problem is that when i click on article correctly the modules appear in hp on the article that i have clicked

i want that in hp there is only the module and when i click on article i see only article. i know that i must create a new menu item, but of what type?

i have all article in one category and one section. i want that when a user click on article all the modules on the home page don't appears

hi,

in the 1.5 version i haven't problem because the HP is linked on article-->home page

when i click on article, i read only article and i see only the modules that i want...

how can replycate this on 2.5?

It works mostly the same way. J2.5 has more options, you can also reverse the assignment (not show module on a given menu item).

You have to turn off SEF in Global Configuration to see the Itemid=xx on the url. This is the menu item that is used.

You can also change the HP to a Single Article Layout and embed the modules into the article with {loadposition hponly}. Publish the modules in the hponly position. This is the same as it where in J1.5.

hi guys,

i haven't solved the problem. i try to manage the presence of the module only in some site's page but they all appears in all sites page. i post a screen of the module configurarion:

for example: jcomments module i'have configured for not appear but it is in hp and in all section without problem.

Have you turned SEF off, so you see the real urls and what is going on?

the problem exist with sef and without sef. i change visualization option module by page with advanced module manager. it's correct? or i must change visualization oprion from directly menù item? if you want can test the url that is in topic. i have changed the visualization oprion of gk4 but is present in all pages. regards

can anyone help me? i try to change visualization options of the modules but nothing change. tell me the files that i try to overwrite from resolve problem. last week my 1.5.26 was hacked and i have loosed years of work and now i'm stopped to develope 2.5.6 site for this great problem. thanks

Turn off SEF in Global Configuration. Watch the Itemid=xx on the url. It has to be another than the one you have assigned the modules to. Try to create a Category Blog Layout menu type and point it to the category of the articles if the Itemid of the Home page are transfered with the readmore link.
