I made a change to a contact form. Just trying to add a form element and it crashed the whole site: http://www.euroamtravelclub.com/index.p ... el-with-us.

Does anyone know how I'd resolve this?

The state column is missing from the jos_attachments table.

I am getting a SQL error on a website I just started working on. I added a column to a contact form and it broke the entire site. Even after I undid the changes I made to the form it still is throwing the error all over the site.

Can someone give any step by step instructions on how to access the database so that I can fix the error?

Thanks a bunch!

This is not a core Joomla table. Witch extension owns it?

You can use phpmyadmin or some other database tool to alter the table.
There should be a .sql file in the components installation folder with the sql to create the table, so you can see what kind of columns it's supposed to be.

How did this happened? Is it caused by a bad upgrade?

It happened when I was trying to add a form element with the extension "Chronoform". I am new to Joombla and I tried to connect using mySQl Workbench to the database but I was denied access. Is there a way to fix this from the backend without using a third party software package?

Hi Frank
I think you need to contact ChronoForm support for this. I have not used chronoforms but I don't think jos_attachments is owned by that extension (I would think that chronoforms tables come with their own secondary prefix like jos_chronoforms_* or jos_cf_* ).

And as for MySQL workbench not connecting, probably your webserver does not allow external DB connections? You should be able to browse your database from the server it self.

Locate phpmyadmin in your hosts cpanel, or ask your host about how to administrate the database.
