I want to create a movie database website like imdb.com
Is it possible with Joomla if yes then what i need?

The first thing that comes to mind is the Zoo by youtheme. They have a pretty nice movie database extension that you can install right into your joomla site. Here is an example http://www.yootheme.com/zoo/apps/index. ... e&Itemid=6
