Error - You cannot access the private section of this site

Hi there, after upgrading to Joomla 2.5.13 (from 2.5.11) registred users cannot access to my website. Access to the admin panel and the frontend is allowed only to Super Users. ACL is ok, I've checked it twice. Creating new users doesn't solve the problem, nor creating new user groups or access levels.

I've updated three sites and the problem appears in the only one which comes from a Joomla 1.5 migration (the other two are Joomla 2.5 native).

The bug seems to be the same as this:

I've checked _categories table but the error isn't there.
I don't have ACL Manager to check if there are some issues here.

This thing is really frustrating, I hope for a fix ASAP!

We are having the same issue. Just upgraded to 2.5.13 and cannot login to the front end with a registered user. We get the same error.

Is there any solution to this Error? We have the same problem on couple of our installations after upgrade to 2.5.13.

We found the issue on our site. It was in the assets tables. We had multiple rows with a parent id of 0 in it and there should only be 1 row with parent id of 0. See http://docs.joomla.org/Fixing_the_assets_table.

I have checked the asset tables once again and have now found many rows with parent_id 0 and level 0 (com_content.article.XXX).

Same issue here too after upgrade to 2.5.13

Actually it is all about what gmdaw pointed out. The existence of multiple rows with parent id of 0.
Forgot to mentioned that indeed I have also verified, after upgrading near a dozen of sites, that this happens just in the one that was not "native" 2.5.
Please let us know if there is going to be a fix for this anytime soon or at least a workaround.

Our problem was solved, following this threat http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=3015752

As said above it is not an "upgrade" issue as such but a database issue if your joomla was not 2.5 native (and ours was not). The final result is that we are back in bussiness and above all database performance when saving for example has improved significantly.

PS we have also installed ACL Manager and deteected and fixed the issue.

Thanks for this thread ! I had a similar problem after upgrade to 2.5.13 and solved it by fixing the assets table. I can confirm that this only occured on the website which had started as Joomla 1.5.
