Assign Template to Hidden Menu Item?

Assign Template to Hidden Menu Item?

I am using Joomla 2.5.22 and have run up against something I can't figure out.

I created a Thank You page in a hidden menu and need it to have a template OTHER than the default template.

However - it doesn't seem to want to change even though I have assigned the different template to it.

Here is the original url suffix. I don;t know if I need to change anything within it to change the template.

index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=581

Any ideas? I'm confused.

Try this to see if the template loads, and this option may serve better since the page is just for 'thanks' and you don't have to create a menu item
