Using Akeeba for site backup

Post by dkssner » Mon Oct 20, 2014 4:59 pm

I'm most likey making this harder than it is. I already have a backup of a joomla site. I have installed a local host on my computer and have loaded in joomla. My thinking is all I have to do is load the Akeeba extension and follow the steps. But as I rethink this it doesn't seem like the correct process.
So I am stuck. The site was buildt and backed up by someone else. They gave me the file to work on it and learn joomla.

Hello dkssner

Have you need to install a website from a backup?
Maybe this can help you:

Hope this helps.

Akeeba backs up your files and database into 1 installable file.
