Getting two presentations of main menu

Post by wagb278 » Sun May 17, 2015 8:13 pm

Using Joomla 2.5.28 on a localhost apache2 server. I am getting the main menu presented twice, one is an un-ordered list <ul> presentation which I want to not display. I added a screen shot image.

In the screen shot, the bullet list is what I want to remove. It must be some setting in Joomla that I messed up because I tried with different templates and I get the same results.

The screen shot is when using Afterburner-2 template from Rocket Theme with their RokNavMenu extension which gives the horizontal menu - what I do want.

Thanks for any ideas what to change or if additional information is needed, don't hesitate to ask.

Looks like the the menu at the top is generated by the Template and the one at the side is a Joomla menu module. Disable it in Extensions manager ... it will not affect the one at the top.

btw Joomla 2.5 is no longer supported http://www.joomla.org/download.html#j25

Thanks for the reply, as I was typing a reply to your post indicating I couldn't find some module to disable --- it dawned on me to just set Joomla's main menu to Unpublished State - the menu doesn't need to be published because the Template Menu extension is presenting the menu.

That was the problem, thanks again!
