Good morning everyone,
I'm working on a project that has a very structured database.

It is a site that has a db converted for Joomla 2.5 from another cms.

Several thousand articles and comments have been imported in this conversion (for the comp. JComments).

This conversion has had some problem as regards the table assets.

The suppliers of the conversion have remedied the problem but I can not determine the differences between this table and the first version of the converted db.

The test server, on which the site runs, is not accessible directly (you need to make a change to your hosts file to do the test).

The issue seems to be on the optimization of the queries of the articles contained in the categories and on the queries of the used modules (btcontentslider, modnewsgk4).

For example, when you click on the menu item (View - Blog category) the listing contains all items and generates a heavy load: this doesn’t seem to be optimized for the results’paging (in fact through the activation of the Debug mode, it is possible to see that the queries are made for the paging even when it is disabled by back-end).

An alternative would be to optimize these calls (both joins and more) on Joomla side, or maybe historicize the Articles with "archived".

Have you got any suggestions beyond plugin (already tested) to simplify the problem?
The cache, Joomla side, has been tried as a solution but it did not give the expected results (the portal is an online magazine and for example the items of the home page can not be put in the cache for long).

What kind of changes could I do at the core of Joomla and and in which folders are the queries made?
Does anyone have any other suggestions? (for example what can you tell me about the optimization of the server side Apache or MySQL or .htaccess- taking in mind that I have enabled the mod Expires?)

I hope to have been clear in the explanation of the problem.

Thanks in advance for your support and your patience.

IF it is imported data ... how do you know the assets are correctly fixed? You can try https://github.com/elinw/AssetDiagnosis to test some common asset problems (although it doesn't find all of them). Also you can run https://github.com/elinw/AssetFix (put it at your joomla root and then browse to mydomain.com/JoomlaFix

I did all the tests that you have suggested me, but it seems that they don’t work properly.
It seems that the script is not set. I attach a screenshot so that you can see the final results of my tests.

Could this problem depend on the server?
Can you write me the instructions that I have to follow step by step?
Have you got other suggestion to solve my problem?

Thanks in advance.
