Missing image causes additional com_content request.

Hi.

I have very strange issue with my site. Every missing element (image,css...) causes that additional request is made to com_content. In the result if I have for example
10 missing imagest joomla runs 10 times getListQuery from the com_content and is waiting for database response (i have over 15000 content records).
Results of my investigation:
1. Not related to SEF and mod_rewrite
2. Not related to joomla version (upgraded from 2.5.7 to 2.5.19)
3. urls like: http://mysite.com/images/logo.jpg causes problem
if logo.jpg is missing but http://mysiteeeeeeee.com/images/logo.jpg (wrong url) not.

Any ideas what is happening?
